Holocaust Diamonds - On a More Serious Note

These mixed size, color and cut of diamonds came from the son of a camp survivor.

These diamonds were collected by his father from other prisoners in order to get food and possibly buy their escape.

I was told that this all took place towards the end of the war and that his father was released after the fall of the German army and occupation in Europe.

It is a sad and also an amazing story that these small and insignificant diamonds could have determined ones future.

The small tin measures 1"x 2" and the stones are pressed into a wax so that they do not move around

I am in the process of Donating these to the Holocaust Museum.
